The iconic Shandur Polo Festival is scheduled from June 20–22, 2025, at the world’s highest polo ground. Competitions between teams from Lower and Upper Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan will also include folk music, camping villages, and cultural events. Preparations are underway to provide full amenities for both domestic and international tourists.

The indigenous Kalash community invites you to celebrate their summer harvest festival, Uchau, which will be held in the Bumburet and Rumbur valleys this coming August. This important festival gives thanks for the harvest with music, dancing, and unique cultural rituals. It is a wonderful opportunity for visitors to respectfully observe the ancient traditions of the Kalash people. All visitors are requested to be mindful and respectful of local customs, traditions, and privacy during the festival.
