Shandoor Polo Festival

The Shandur Polo Festival 2025 is set to begin on June 20 and will run until June 22 at Shandur Top, the highest polo ground in the world. This historic event showcases freestyle polo, a demanding sport played at an altitude of around 3,700 meters (12,139 feet), testing both the players and their horses. The Chitral team will go head-to-head with their rivals from Gilgit-Baltistan, continuing a tradition that dates back centuries. Alongside the fierce matches, the festival offers cultural performances, music, paragliding, and fishing competitions, making it a grand celebration of the region’s heritage.
